- US: Urgent-Care-Kliniken und Telemedizin sind für alles, was nicht lebensbedrohlich ist, weit günstiger als die Notaufnahme.
- CA: In den meisten Provinzen gibt die 811 pflegerischen Rat; Walk-in-Kliniken nehmen Leute ohne Termin.
- AU: Ruf healthdirect unter 1800 022 222 für Rat an; Hausarztpraxen und manche Notfallpraxen nehmen Leute ohne Termin.
- NZ: Ruf Healthline unter 0800 611 116 für kostenlosen Rat an; Notfallpraxen nehmen Leute ohne Termin.

### Rules

- EU: Mit einer Europäischen Krankenversicherungskarte (EHIC) bekommen Besucher öffentliche Versorgung zu denselben Kosten wie Ansässige.
- GB: Notfallversorgung im NHS ist für alle kostenlos; manche Krankenhausbehandlung wird Besuchern aus dem Ausland berechnet.
- US: Notaufnahmen müssen jeden mit einem Notfall untersuchen und stabilisieren, egal was er zahlen kann — die Rechnung kommt später.
- PH: Krankenhäuser dürfen vor einer Notfallbehandlung keine Anzahlung oder Vorkasse verlangen.
- AU: Besucher aus Ländern mit Gesundheitsabkommen (darunter das Vereinigte Königreich, Irland, Neuseeland, die Niederlande, Italien und Norwegen) bekommen einen Teil der Versorgung über Medicare.
