### United Kingdom passports

GOV.UK の海外向けパスポートサービスでオンライン申請し、古いパスポートを英国の HM Passport Office へ郵送して、新しいものをクーリエで受け取ります。海外からの特急サービスはありません。
- Processing: about 4–6 weeks
- いまのパスポートは提出・郵送します。新しいものが届くまで旅行の予定は入れないでください。

### United States passports

your country of residence を管轄する米国大使館・領事館で、DS-82 の様式で更新します（郵送・クーリエ・窓口は、その公館の定め方によります）。海外在住者はオンライン更新を使えません。前回のパスポートが16歳以上のときに発行され、15年以内で、手元にあるなら DS-82 で更新できます。
- Adult fee abroad: 130 USD
- Child fee abroad: 135 USD
- Processing: about 4–6 weeks
- いまのパスポートは提出・郵送します。新しいものが届くまで旅行の予定は入れないでください。
- 16歳未満：DS-11 の様式で、大使館・領事館に本人が出向きます。両親そろって（または一方が他方の書面同意を持って）。

### France passports

オンライン（ANTS）で事前申請し、フランス領事館で指紋の予約を取ります。パスポートは領事館で受け取り、手数料は現地通貨で領事館に払います。

### Philippines passports

フィリピン大使館・領事館の予約を取り（passport.gov.ph か公館独自のシステム）、本人が出向きます。写真・指紋・署名はその場で取ります。現金のみの公館も多く、期限の少なくとも9か月前の更新をすすめます。

- Child fee abroad: 60 USD
- Processing: about 6–8 weeks
- 更新中も、いまのパスポートは手元に残ります。有効なら、そのまま旅行にも使えます。
- 未成年は親と一緒に本人が出向き、子どもの出生証明書を持参します。

### Australia passports

Australian Passport Office のサイトで更新用の様式をオンラインで記入し（「overseas」を選ぶ）、印刷して写真とともに大使館・高等弁務官事務所へ郵送するか、そこで提出します。いまのパスポートは送らないこと。

- Processing: about 6–8 weeks
- 更新中も、いまのパスポートは手元に残ります。有効なら、そのまま旅行にも使えます。

### Canada passports

成人は海外から郵送、または海外のカナダ政府事務所で更新します。アメリカ在住なら、そこから郵送で更新できます。

- 子どものパスポートは更新できません。毎回、新規で申請します。

### New Zealand passports

ニュージーランドのパスポートサイトから、どこにいてもオンラインで更新できます。新しいパスポートはクーリエで届きます。

入国管理局（ICA）にオンラインで申請し、選んだシンガポール公館で新しいパスポートを受け取ります。

## When to start

有効期限から逆算しています：6か月（残りがこれより短いと入国を断る国が多い）、いちばん長い処理期間、そして2週間の余裕。

## 持っていくもの

- いまのパスポート。
- 発行国の規格に合った証明写真（その場で撮ってくれる大使館もあります）。
- 記入した申請書。
- 求められれば、住んでいる場所の住所や在留資格の証明（在留カード、ビザ）。
- 指定された形での手数料 — 現地通貨の現金かカードのみ、という大使館も多くあります。
- 名前が変わったなら、婚姻証明書・離婚判決・裁判所の命令の原本を持参してください（外国語なら認証翻訳を添えて）。

## 気をつけて

- 「特急」「事前チェック」と称して料金を取るサイト — 早められるのは公式のサービスだけで、海外からはたいてい早められません。
- 発行国の写真規格に合わない証明写真機やアプリ — 写真の不備が、いちばん多い遅れの原因です。
- 大使館の前で、予約を取ってやると言ってお金を求める仲介者。
